Thesis
One strategy for slow fashion is upcycling; prolonging the life of a garment which prevents it from reaching a landfill.

Taking into account that one pair of jeans uses 3,781 litres of water to make, I conducted an experiment on how many “lives” one pair of jeans can potentially have.
I wanted to understand if upcycling was easy enough for a regular person to follow, so my project was done with no extra fabric, no hardware, no patterns and no mannequins. Only a sewing machine, scissors and me.
